Eggs with a Dash

A poached egg is a luxurious, melting treat  breaking into one and watching its golden, silky yolk flowing across a piece of buttered toast is as close to food perfection as one can get. A scattering of sea salt and a few grinds of the pepper mill are all the garnish this plate needs.

Reading the above made me want to poach a quality free range egg and enjoy  the runny yolk … when I think back on the days when we used so much table salt, it’s a wonder we are all still here! However, a dash of good quality sea salt and a quick grind of pepper is a treat and a taste to be savoured.
