Dining with Style

Walking around the supermarket recently I noticed the pre-filled salt and pepper grinders and I was surprised at how cheap they were.

It got me thinking about the need for more expensive sets and the reason why people are willing to pay more for quality and style.

Perhaps it boils down to horses for courses.

If you prepared a quality meal that took ages to make and you had guests joining you for the evening, you would use good quality table ware and not eat off of paper plates using plastic knives and forks!

I guess the same is true about salt and pepper grinders in that a quality meal would best suit a stylish grinder design. A meal when children are around would best suit novelty salt and pepper shakers and if you are eating fish and chips off of paper plates or out of newspaper, you could use the most basic salt and pepper shaker.

On second thoughts, with the price of fish and chips these days, maybe the best china and a Peugeot or Cole and Mason grinder would be appropriate!
